USB security dongle emulating?

Ill keep it short. I am having computer problems with my usb secuirty dongle for work. Is there anyway I can capture whats on it and write a script or app to emulate the dongle?
 
I symphatize with your problem; hardware based dongles, be them USB or the older parallel port variety can be a real pain in the tailpipe. I'd contact the software vendor's support folks and hold their feet to the fire until you get things sorted out.

The other issue, of course, is that some folks could use this discussion as help in obtaining the use of software they don't have a license for. As such, the thread got locked.
