USB mic volume problems..

Some time ago i've bought a Logitech desktop USB microphone. It was awesome...'ntill it became very quiet for some reason... still quite detailed but very quiet. Now i've searched in my setting and saw the volume for this mic ( not mic in on my soundcard but the micvolume of windows ) was allmost on it's minimum, so i maxed it. And again...after a while it became quiet....again on its minimum... Now i've noticed that the volume lowers itself automatically when windows 'hears' a loud noise... like the mic falling af the desk of me bumping it by accident...presumebly to protect the hearing of the person i'm talking too...is it possible to turn this ' setting ' off? i can't find it and ' advanced volumesettings' under the mic settings is greyed out. plz some help here? ^^ ty !

this happens to me to, im using the onboard sound of my evga 680i lt mobo, and before i got this mobo it never happened. if anyone has fixed this problem please reply.
