I've been using a waterchill tripple rad watercooling kit now for at least 5 yrs. It's outlived 3 processors and 3 graphics cards. (not that any of those 6 broke, they just got old....)


Anyway I'm about to rebuild my system - basically building the PC into a desk, and breaking it out of an old big case.. Should I let sleeping dogs lie or should I upgrade anything.

The loop has a hydor L20 pump, with the impeller glued to make it quiet, a 120mmx3 radiator, an old CPU block clamped on to a q9450 in an unusual way - and a 9800 card which had a factory installed waterblock- my little luxury.

It's all on 10mm tubing and the CPU block will only take 10mm tubing.


So......

How much benefit would I get from updaitng - and how should I think of updating. The CPU clocks to a modest 3.4, the graphics to an impressive 1Ghz , and temps are around 45 degrees for CPU 52 for graphics.
 
Just been reading- the L20 is a pretty rubbish pump. Size is not an issue, and I'm happy so spend to get quality kit.

So the way I'm thinking now - I need to upsize my tubing, need new barbas all round and need a new CPU block that will accept bigger barbs.

So - decent barbs
-Decent CPU blaock
-Decent tubing
--Decent Pump
-Decent radiator

is what I need, it seems.
