Okay my new computer with a 600W Silverstone, oc 6400, 680i mb, and 8800GTS kills my APC Back-UPS Pro 500. Do I need a UPS that is rated 700+?

Hi, it never hurts to have one a little higher than you need. I just picked up an APC BR1200 last week. It is rated for 780w and will system in sig I barely pull 60% of the 780w at full load according to the Powerchute software that comes with the unit. Very happy with the unit. I yanked the power cord from the wall to simulate a blackout and it was a real treat to see the system still running off battery without a hiccup. Not a single mention of the unit being overloaded or anything. Was even nicer to see the system properly shut itself down too. Highly recommended.
