If Im only interested in the power conditioning properties of having a UPS, will it be at all detrimental to have a UPS that is underrated? I can get one through work for 20 bucks (super mega clearance) but its rated at 550VA 275W, and will be hooked up to:

Core i7 (overclocked)
EVGA E758 (X58 3-Way SLI)
Radeon 4890
850W PSU

Like I said, we rarely (ive never even actually had one) have power outages, and im only interested in the conditioning. Am I correct in assuming the power rating only has an effect on its abilities during a power outage?
