I know UPS is delivering parcels for the the United States Postal Service for delivery. I have a package that has been tied up for like 4-5 days in a different nearby city was wondering if anyone had something similar happen?

Yea, I hate that service. From the times I've been forced to use it, USPS receives my packages from UPS, then they hold onto them _forever_ before they get delivered. When I've tried to go to my local post office to pick it up (because that's where tracking says it is), they won't let me because they say "it is on the truck for delivery", but it obviously never is because it doesn't show up to my house for another several days. Unfortunately, USPS does not value timeliness in package deliveries. Sometimes they'll even lie and say it is delivered in their tracking website, but it actually isn't -- probably to meet some quota for deliveries. That was being discussed in another thread on [H], and it causes hell for both buyers and sellers because finger pointing and negative feedback starts to happen.

The only "innovation" here is the creation of a massive, unwieldy, totally craptastic load of bullsh*t for anyone waiting on a package that has been routed this way....

so yea, turd making is apparently a thing now, if this is any indication of current business processes :rage:

There was a line from the netflix show "Designated Survivor" that precisely covers this:

"the system is broken, and goddammit, YOU (insert your choice of curse words here) broke it"
 
I promised myself over the year to order less mail order stuff because my favorite mail lady is having Hip Surgery she's in her 50s.

I don't use USPS unless its priority. I have not had a single issue with priority service. I choose it any single day over ups and fedex. Its either ontime or early. Never thought I would say this, but shit is top notch lol.

As far as mail being handed off to USPS. That is usually the lowest service delivery I think, so don't be surprised if it takes its sweet time getting to you. Its the seller using the cheapest shipping. I had the same shit happen to me where it was that type of mail from ebay, it literally took 9 days even though it was shipped in the same state lol. It has no priority.
 
Yeah, I've had various delays with the Innovations shipping. Usually it is just a delay of 1-2 days but a few have ended up stuck somewhere in the system for 7-10 days. I emailed a complaint once via the usps website and got a reply the next morning from the local post office claiming the package had been delayed by bad storms out of Texas. Which was amusing since UPS said they had dropped off the package to USPS locally 7 days earlier. Amazingly, my package showed up the very next day.
 
usually any postal service will hold your package even if its ready to be delivered. Until the typical delivery time is met, you paid for. No1 likes it, especially since they aren't going to pay you if package is late...
 
Ok I ordered this thing on the 15th still not here it moved today though to a Nearby State from Wisconsin to Minnesota so it moved a few hundred miles away.
It was like 40 miles away just the other day. Well at least I know it's not stolen the item is a Deus Ex collectors edition for the X-BOX one I picked up for 20.00
They probably went for 80.00+ at launch in 2016.
