Hey all, It's just about time to upgrade my struggling Q9450@3.5 system. It's been lovely to me but I'm looking forward to the new stuff.
I haven't been paying too much attention to Mobos and things like Gigabytes UD3/4/5H have me totally confused. I'm just looking for something that is a good overclocker and can provide me with enough SATA ports. I'm planning to pick up a 4670K, I don't think HT will be that useful (but maybe you can convince me otherwise?)
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming, VMs, Programming, Video Encoding, Emulating(Dolphin)
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
400$, yes.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
US, Oregon, Close to Frys but no Microcenter
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU and Mobo, I plan on getting the RAM outside of the budget listed, but if you see a nice combo deal or something, feel free to throw it in.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
6x Sata HDDs, Corsair TX750, Radeon 7850
6) Will you be overclocking?
Yes
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1920x1200, 24''
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Now
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
6x sata at least, more would be nice for the future but not necessary.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yes Win7 64-bit
