upgrading from win2k to winxp home?

Can it be done? My wife got Norton 2k7, and it won't install on 2k, so she needs (does not want) to upgrade, but the package only says 95/98/ME.

Need answer ASAP, thanks.
 
Yes, it's absolutely possible. You should have no problems.

But Norton? Take a look at NOD32 first, I think you would be a lot happier with it's performance.
 
You have to upgrade to XP Pro from W2K pro.

Yeah, I linked that article in haste as the op said "asap":)

However, it does seem to focus on XP, not so much XP Pro despite the title...
 
Thanks for the replies, I'm trying to save money. My wife has been calling around since I posted, and we're getting conflicting reports on this.
 
Try this.

Of course, this indicates that you can't... odd. I honestly had no idea that there was an issue upgrading w2k to XP....
