upgrading from an E4300 to ...?

i've had this computer for almost a year and i'd like to upgrade the processor. i have a E4300 @ 3ghz on a gigabyte 965p-ds3. i'd really like to be able to get 3.5ghz or even 4ghz.

E6750 2.66 ghz $189
E6600 2.4ghz $233
E6850 3ghz $264

the E6750 looks like it would be the best for the money, but i really don't know the specific's of each cpu. just seems strangely cheap next to the others.
 
Get the E6750, or wait for the new E8xxx chips.

They are all nice, but the e6750 replaced the e6600, and the e6850 is simply the e6750 with the multiplier up a notch.
 
Dude, don't get the E6xxx series. I would highly suggest the E8400 for gaming.
They are currently in high demand and hard to get (inflated price...) but it will settle soon
 
Update your bios ..check for the CPU support list in the documentation for that version of the BIOS beforehand
 
The only worthy upgrades at this point would be an E8400@ 4.0+ or a Q6600 @3.2-3.8 (depending on your cooling)
 
Another vote for the E8400. Or wait for some E8200s to appear. E6xxxs arent a good buy anymore esp since youre OCing.
