so today i got a killer deal on a logitech x-530 5.1 sound system....never used surround b4 but im truly amazed at it..

currently my soundcard is an audigy 2 value from best buy, ya kno..

is it worth it to upgrade to say an audigy 4 or the x-fi? i game but mostly bf2 and cod2...would the upgrade from the audigy 2 value to say audigy 4 be any good? noticable? or should i jump to the x-fi music one? cuz yea i can get those for about 130 ( http://pcclub.com/product_details.cfm?itemno=A5118276 ), not too bad, and the audigy 4 for like 80 ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...t&productCategoryId=cat01053&id=1118841165481 )

so where should i go? latest n greatest with a x-fi, or a minor upgrade to a audigy 4? im kinda wantin to get the x-fi, but im not gonna get anythign other than the music...budget, that and i dont want/ need the 5 1/4 bays n all that gear....

hopin to get an answer within the half horu so ill run down n pick one up
 
Ive got an X-fi and love it. In BF2 sounds should be much better with an X-fi. Ive never had an audigy so i cant comment on how much of an increase in quality you are looking at but i would imagine a pretty good jump
 
x-fi music owner too...good good....ive got another 15 min b4 i bail to head to pc club to get the x-fi music....

yea i went from....sb awe64, to sblive, to audigy 1 ls, to audigy 2 value...now im lookin for the next, logically i should go with the x-fi since its newest...
 
i guess x-fi music it is...

any tips n tricks i should know about this new beast? it should work in my board i got an older system msi k7n2 delta l with xp3200....so i shouldnt have that problem everyone was with the asus and nforce 4 boards right
 
Thats the same exact mobo i had about 5 months ago. To bad i didnt have my x-fi then, but it should work just fine. Enjoy your new card. Your gonna like it :)
 
sorry about all the redundant posts, but the x-fi music....the newest driver for it is which one? creatives site shows this one

thats kinda old, lol 5 months but yea i kno how often creative releases new drivers...

can anybody confirm or deny these are the latest? and if not where can i grab the latest?

expire end of may, hmm, meh ill use the ones on their site, and if im feelin geeky ill throw on the betas

another question, driver cleaner the program...it cleans drivers, creative, soundblaster, will it clean the x-fi drivers too, do they gall under creative?
