I want to upgrade my old Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer
The main reason : / better sound quality / only for gaming
What would you recommend ? Asus ? Creative SB ? Or something like this :

In case i go for FiiO E09K, i won't have anymore EAX effects / Crystalizer and many other SB functions.
Any ideas / advices are welcome.

LE : i'm using for gaming the headset Sennheiser HD 429.
 
If you game and use the x-fi cmss-3d like I do (because it works) you'll want try to find a Sound Blaster X-fi titanium HD while you still can. It'll do up to 300ohm headphones and still has a true hardware DSP.

If you just want high quality audio there are a number of USB devices that can provide clean high quality audio to good headphones.
