I am looking into doing a system update and wanted some opinions before I went ahead with it. Right now I am running a P4 2.4c @ 3ghz with 1gig Kingston HyperX and a 128meg Radeon 9800np. What I am thinking about is upgrading to an AMD 64 3500+ and either a X800 Pro or 6800 GT. This machine is used mainly for gaming and I am hoping to get at least a year out of it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

WTF? Your computer is just fine. I wouldn't think about upgrading if I were you. You could always upgrade that video card if you wish. I really don't know which to recommend but for now the lights seem to shine on nVidia so go for the 6800 GT as well. Everything else you have is fine. I don't see why you shouldn't use it anymore for gaming. If not, give it to me. ;)

Agreed, you probably won't get much of a bump in performance by going to the equipment you posted. A new video card will probably be sufficient for now.

I'd wait on the mobo/proc upgrade until you can get a significantly faster setup - which isn't out yet.
