Ok here's my problem... I was planning on getting a whole new computer in April, but I can't come up with the cash. I guess it might be better if I wait to see s775 and s939 battle it out in pricing anyways. So I figure I'm going to buy some parts that I can keep for my new system and use them for the time being on my current system. I want to buy these:

-Samsung 955DF 19" Flat Monitor
-Logitech z5300 5.1 speakers
-Sennheiser HD457 or HD477 headphones

Good upgrade do you think?

I say get the monitor and hook it up to your rig along with your old one. Dual monitors will open up a whole new world for you...

It doesn't really sound like you know what you want to do with it though (obviously), so maybe save up for something bigger?

Well I use my rig for surfing the web, music, gaming, etc. And this thing won't run UT2004 how I want it to at all. Not to mention numerous other games. I know it's not my video card's fault. So I had planned to buy an Athlon 64 S754 based rig next month, but I'm short on cash.

For my next rig I though it might be nice to have a 19" flat monitor, instead of a little 17" like this one. I know a few people who have the 955DF and they're pretty happy with it. Speakers I'm still not sure about, somedays I think I want them, then other days I'm not sure if I really want to spend money on them.

I would sit tight for a little on the A64s just because of the socket differences. When they're on the market, you can make a better decision. Also, if you wait a little while longer, parts get cheaper.

I also have the Sennheiser 477s. I've never used them on my PC, but they are incredible headphones. I use them with my laptop to watch DVDs during flights, and the sound quality is absolutely amazing.
