I have a 6800GT and I get a high FPS even at a high resolution but the framerate sometimes drops for a split second even at a lower resolution. I know its not the rest of my system because it didnt do this with my 9800. Also I notice things that things that are far away look kinda blurry, is there ANY kind of optimization in the 65 drivers that would decrease image quality?
 
I changed the quality mode to the maximum quality settings in the driver and that fixed the blurriness issue, but its still spiking to 20fps.
 
I installed the default drivers that came on the CD and that seemed to have fixed it that weird frame rate issue. I guess thats why the 65's are still beta. :)
