HL2 System Test

So theres not a thousand posts in the next few weeks about "Will my system run HL2?", heres something one of my friends found.

Please use it and don't make 1,000 posts asking if your system will run HL2.
 
Most of the folks here know that already (that their system will run it. )... We need official benchmarks
 
Yeah I dont see HL2 going to be as stressful as doom 3 in on your hardware, but that link unfortunately won't help the oncoming horde of questions before release. Especially since its too simple to base whether or not how well your System will run HL2. Considering there is Radeon 9200s with 256 RAM on them
 
That's a pretty worthless test. It says 700MHz+ is required, yet I highly doubt anyone will even dream of running it on a 700MHz system. Windows 3.1 and 16 bit CPUs are options? :rolleyes: Those guys just put something crappy together to try to get more hits.
 
that site is a retailers attempt at looking official. Most of the info I saw was gotten from the movies or press releases. That benchmarker was something that a web designer could have cooked up in a day after reading the max-min system specs already released.

here is the vavle system survey showing that a good majority of players still have an mx-440 so I am betting they are keeping that in mind.
 
That is the worth test... ever.

I could have a 128 mb geforce 3 or a 128 mb 6800, it doesn't know, but it gives the same results.
 
That's really old, I remember looking at that last year when hl2 was supposed to come out in a few weeks.

that test is just this side of useless

cpu: less than 700mhz
graphics memory: 4mb
system memory: 32mb
operating system: windows 3.1
architecture: 16 bit

i guess i loose ;)
