ok in school we have a tech team in our computer class and the 5 of us are building computers for ourself and i want mine to be the best and the other students dont know much about overclocking
the processors we are useing are S478 P4 1.8
im not to sure what program i should overclock with cuz we have pos mobos
they are aopen mother boards=shitty
but what program should i use to overclock
and is it possible that the processor is locked at that fps?
can it be unlocked?
if so how?
 
Not sure what you mean by unlocking cause it doesnt sound like you mean multiplier unlocking. What motherboard are you using, be as specific as possible.

BTW, it is not possible to unlock the multipliers on the processors.
 
well maybe i could be misunderstanding what the problem is cuz everytime i overclock the processor the computer locks up and im only going from 1800 to 1807 and it still locks up what could the problem

what program should i use?

im not sure what mobo ill have the name in a few hours but i inkows its a aopen 4xb.... something
 
You might be screwed, that sounds like the motherboard doesnt have PCI/AGP locks.
