Hey guys,

Never really monitored temperatures before, however bought a new computer and wanted to see how cool it was running. I'm a little confused though, I will try to get some screenshots up but my CPU is reading 8C and my Core is anywhere from 30-35C. Is this normal? My computer setup is in my sig and I have 4 fans installed. I think it may be the case, I can't get over the ventilation in this CM Stacker - but it's pretty much the size of my car!

edit: I'm using SpeedFan

Try using CoreTemp as well.

The q6600 on stock clocks should sit around 30-40C depending on ambient temperature. On e6600 on air sits around 33C which is about 91F. You can always run orthos and see what is gets up to. Under load you should see around using the processor intensive tests in orthos.

I hit 60C on my q6600 on water using orthos and it's oc'd to 3.4Ghz.

Obviously 8C is not right... that would be around 47F.

However 30-60C is normal.

I am running a g0 stepping model. My b3 would idle around 43-47C.
