hey guys, my currrent setup is, athlon xp 3000+ (barton 400mhz fsb), abit nf7 rev 2.0, radeon 9800 pro softmodded -> XT (stock speed). and corsair twinx 1 gig 3200 dual channel memory. when i go inside the bios, changing the multiplier seems to just bring it back to 10.5 no matter what. right now im at 200x10.5 = 2095mhz. i want to be able to get it to at least an xp3200 (about 2.2ghz). since i cant play aronud much with the multiplier, i tried rasing the fsb to 210mhz ( which is the equivalent of 2210 mhz), but everytime i load up 3dmarks or some 3d app, the comp just restarts, andn the same with 209mhz. is there anything im doing wrong or what can i do? by the way, i scored 6470 in 3dmarks 03 with the current setup. is that off or am i okay?

my first response is that you need to do more reading.
My second response is to tell you to bump the voltage a little on your processor (vcore). But then i dont know what cooling you're using, so i won't recommend that until you mention that.

You need more reading ;D

I second what diredesire says...we need more specs on what you've got going on with your setup...

PSU brand, rating, voltages read etc...
Vcore set to ??
temp of the cou at idle and under load
what type of heatsink/fan yo0u using
how's case ventilation
ram spec

It helps in the long run...

Later

Also keep in mind tha the multiplier on the CPU is probably lcoked so unless you unlock it you won't be able to use a multiplier other than 10.5
