I am considering getting either a 29 inch Ultra wide LG Monitor or a ASUS 28 inch UHD Monitor. Ultra Wide UHD What do you guys think?

I have an R9 290x video card and an overclocked FX8350. I am running the computer on my Sony 50 inch TV. However, I am considering moving that computer back to a stand alone monitor for gaming and day to day usage when I am at home.
 
I'd skip ultra wide getting normal screen like 32" 1440p now if you absolutely must buy right now, but if in a year or two, then UHD (but probably with gpu upgrade to 980 or comparable next gen amd one alongside that and certainly i wouldn't buy anything 4K/UHD of size less then 39").

Thank you, I decided to wait. I did pick up a 27 inch LG IPS Panel for $199 on sale since I did not have a monitor at home. I would have gotten 2 but my desk is not big enough for that. (Need a new desk.)
