i wasnt sure whether to put this is the software catagory or here, but i thought more people here would have triple setups,
basically i tried this a little over three years ago but with bad connections on different monitors from a very old rubbish laptop using weak usb video cards.
i cannot envision it running smoothly whereby all desktops had an individual taskbar and everything was moveable everywwhere with shortcuts designed for only the triple desktop,,,and you use the cubedesktop shortcuts for anything going over to another cubeface. But, i definately had the basic features and was 'happy' with what i had for those few short days before the laptop on my desk started looking hideous.
but i never fully had chance to test it out with a workstation pc. in fact ive never seen online this tested before and im about to try it out on better monitors and GPUs, if it fails i will just partition linux and compiz fusion instead.
so if anyone has tried this, would recommend it please get in touch on here or pm.
i was tipped of that ultramon has lost popularity over another program in same price range but i couldnt say which. also there are a few different windows cubedesktop software programs(i coudnt say which is best either).
as im building my pc and ordering parts this thread will have [SOLVED] on it in a month or so
i should also note the only queries ive ever seen are that when you game and go back to the desktop all the icons are messed up. im sure there is a way to configure this but,,for now im happy to arrange them alphabetically and not worry about this.
