Ultra memory?

I just bought some PC3500 and it's CH-5. It's looks like that link is probably BH-5 (since the timings are so low), but I wouldn't risk it. Not to mention that the price is pretty high.

You noticed that's Canadian pricing, right?

The whole RAM thing really has me tired out. I want decent RAM, but not the best -- and I don't want to hinder my overclocking efforts.

Any other recommendations on RAM I can buy in Canada?

sorry, I didn't. It's not such a bad price if it's BH-5. If it's CH-5 though it's still a little expensive. Ram is always my least favorite thing to buy. Why not try to get some off a forum member?

Honestly you won't need the best RAM to go with the mobile, since it's unlocked. I'd find the limit of your board (probably <235 if you're on an NF2 board), and don't buy ram that is rated for any faster than that. No need to waste any cash on expensive ram that has way too much headroom. Buffalo CH-5 would be my recommendation, you might be able to pick some up for ~150-160 USD if you look hard enough.

I have some Geil Platinum 3200. It's good. The Golden Dragon is definatly a lot better. I think my chipset is killing my RAMories bandwidth. :( Somewhat okay timings, too. This ram as made it up to 212 mhz with stock timings. The Golden Dragon would get me a lot further. ;)

psssttt... notice he's canadian... meaning no newegg... yet

You can get Mushkin from Bytewize

The prices at Tigerdirect aren't too bad for Corsair. Other places to look for that are Canada Computers or PCCanada (if you're in GTA) or Ramstore.ca (online).

There's a lot of retailers in Canada that carry OCZ for some reason, don't know why, exactly. Also, for some reason, its somewhat difficult to find HyperX

Hope this helps.
