it comes in 2 verisons, one is lga 775, the other is k8...
so yeah, half of them will work![]()
id like to add that a xp-90 is about 3-4 years old it seems.. and is overpriced for the performance it gives.. i have 4 of them so they arent that bad but i wouldnt pay more than 20$ shipped and partial reason for me getting them is they look cooler than teh stock heatsinks but they are really not that much better in performance unless 92mm high performance fan is used.. and then it is louUUUd
Bump before I buy to make sure!!!
www.thermalright.com -> AMD Coolers
In order to use Ultra-90 on an AM2 system, you must purchase a K8 version of the Ultra-90 and an AM2 RM (Rev. A)."
There is a special bracket you need to be able to mount it on AM2 boards which doesn't seem to come in the package.
GAH and last time I looked they were sold out!!![]()
Yep, still are![]()
well it is cheap and might have that part at svc.com.. fuxors at svc.com barely speak english and hardly get your order right but its very cheap and nice layout..
svc.com has them for at most 15$ compared to newegg's 23+
svc also sells the screw down bracket kit for the cooler as well. I bought one to use on my tforce 550 and it works like a champ. worth the extra $8 or so it was. I despise the damned lever-type brackets.
