When [H] test UHD, how long a Displayport cable do you use?

On other forums people are appearing to find that the Radeon cards can't drive a 4K monitor through a maximum length (3 metre) cable and dropping to a shorter 2 metre cable can resolve the issue, but not always.

I've checked a few of the reviews and not seen this detail mentioned.

DP does not specify a maximum length, but the cables must meet signal quality requirements. This gets obviously harder the longer the cable is. Most 2m cables should be ok, for longer cables you will need to check with the manufacturer.

I just bought a delock "premium" branded 3m DP cable and it doesn't work in 4K with my 290X
I had to switch back to the cable supplied for my monitor, which is way to short to be comfortable for me. About 1.2m

From everything I've read Accell DP cables give people the least issues. Is that what you are using? Or is it something else? (I don't know why you didn't just give the brand/model?)

I'm just using a standard 3m cable I bought from Amazon.

What are you talking about? That's exactly what I did.

Accell brand DP cables. They are good quality and follow the VESA spec. There are cables that claim VESA compliant but actually aren't. I've seen many times shere the "wake from sleep bug" was cured when the user changed to Accell branded DP cables, for example.
