Tygon Norprene thoughts?

I'm looking at getting something a little more flexible for my loop. I currently run a 1/2" 3/4" loop.

I used to use R3400 and despised it when it leaked the disgusting gluey plasticizer into my reservoir and completely ruined it.

I bought some other Tygon clear tubing that's plasticizer free and it's not quite flexible in the least.

I am heavily considering the Norprene tubing from Tygon but I need something a bit more flexible than what I have now. I also read something on XtremeSystems about a user who used Norprene and said that it stained his blocks after a year. Has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone tried the size I mentioned as well?

I am looking for something and Tygon always tops my list but I have read some reviews on Primochill PRO LRT as well from a couple years back. Who makes the best stuff right now? Colors don't really matter but I prefer to go not flashy. If I have to shiny I will go clear or white but definitely not black (tried that - what a dusty fingerprint mess with the R3400).

Please help!

I prefer Primochill LRT. Great tubing. Ive used Tygon, Primochill, and Masterklear and would recommend the PC LRT over them all. Even though it has gone up in price, still not bad.

I'll second the Primochill tubing. I think it's better than tygon. But I still go with masterklear becasue I'm cheap. :p

There is a long thread over at overclock.net about plasticizer problems with primochill LRT recently. With that said, I ordered some anyway, lol.

The only reason I have ever considered Tygon over PC is because PC uses plasticizer. I refuse to buy another tubing with plasticizer in it at all, regardless of how good the tubing may be with it.

I saw the thread about that and posted in it myself because of the Tygon R3400 I had with leaching plasticizer.

However I am now looking for something that bends a little better than the Tygon plasticizer free (2001 iirc) that I am using now. That's why I was looking at Norprene but I absolutely do not want it to stain my blocks. I am not sure what effect this really has since I can't see inside my blocks anyways, but nonetheless I do not want it there.

I also have Tygon silver antimicrobial tubing.

Any thoughts on that vs. the Norprene?

Can you link the article. I cannot seem to find it. I really want to read about this. I hope MasterKlear does have this plasticizer issue. I just got some!

Oh sorry I linked to the wrong page. :x

Anyone have thoughts on the Norprene? I am yet to see ANY bad reviews except for that one...and nothing since then.

Granted he had the tubing for TWO years.

Can anyone else account for it?
