tv cards?

i was wondering if i bought a tv card would i be able to connect my ps2 (with coxial adapter) to the tv card, and play san andreas on my comp?

A: get a vga to svideo/composite adapter
B: get a vivo videocard if you are in need of an upgrade

All this works, but the thing I've noticed is that PS2 looks like ass on the comp. Infact, all consoles usually look like ass on the computer screen. But this is just from my Experience.

Besides, I prefer having my PS2 on a 27" TV, rather than displaying on my 17" CRT, at half screen. Just my $0.02

ive only found the ps2 to be tolerable with an svideo connection, and dscaler as the viewing app. I still havent gotten the colors to be satisfactory on san andreas, but it plays allright. Composite connection is horrible for it, and RF is probably worse.

Im using a PixelView XCapture card that only has composite and svideo, its under $40. 10 bit video chip - which i havent really noticed.


One of the fancy PVR cards wont work for game playing, they introduce a lag that can be several seconds.

I used to have some screens captured when running my PS2 on a monitor via tv tuner card.. I'll try to find them..
