Do I have to add in the fan control speed thing? or can I just put the power supply in? This is the TT 480 watt silent purepower PSU.

That is just for monitoring the fan speed, if you don't want to monitor it you don't need to plug it in. The fan speed will adjust whether you plug it in or not.

...yep.

Just had something happen with mine; had the machine in the sig out in the shop (VERY cold out there) swapping some stuff, and when I fired it up, the fan RPM read "0".....wtf? As it warmed up a little, son of a gun, the fan redouts started up. Now, I felt behind it and there was air coming out of it, but seems when it got really cold, at least the readouts stopped.

I sure like my supply; I'll bet yours works great for you too.

Yeah, when its really cold the fan still spins, just at a really low RPM. I think the cutoff is 1500 RPM on my NF7-S, if it is below that it just reads zero.
