Don't remember what was with the first two but Rev. C (newest) is pretty much just an added arrow shaped hole cut in the fins...What it really does...I don't know. All great coolers though.

Ah, I was a bit curious casue the descriptions didn't say anything specific.

Also, any performance difference between the regular TRUE 120 and the Black?

No, you are only paying for the color.
 
I've got the TRUE rev C on an AMD system. Apparently the previous versions couldn't be mounted facing rear exhaust fan. So mine is mounted facing rear exhaust with fan pushing air through fins and out towards exhaust vents.
