Troubleshooting help needed, very strange problem

Ok...here goes :)
My moms PC was booting fine, yet no display whatsoever, it wouldnt even come on, so I plugged my new dell into hers and wala we have display . So off to fry's i go to pick her up a new display.
Plug it in and I get picture fine, until after the windows XP loading screen, although you can hear the PC boot all the way up fine, the monitor picture shuts off. Baffled.

So i plug her new samsung into MY pc and it stays on fine. Even more Baffling.

Plug it back into hers and it shuts off after it boots to windows. Ugh.

Now I am confused, I want to say its the new monitor thats bad, but, it works fine connected to my rig.

And its not her PC, cause my new dell ips panel work perfect connected to hers...lol, and NO, she cant have my new Dell...haha

Help please....i am lost on this one :confused::confused:
 
its the proper resolution supported on moms pc with that monitor going black? nothing comes up about resolution problem?
 
Nothing regarding the res at all...in fact it runs my 22 in inch ips dell just fine...It also boots in safe mode without shutting the monitor off....
