Hey all. I have a barton 2500+ with A7V8X-X mobo, and a radeon 9600 pro.
computer has worked fine, except for some locking up during games. after usually 25-35min, I'll basically lose all control. the game will continue to go on, things still move on the screen and everything, but it's like my mouse and keyboard are frozen... If I was holding down a key to move left when it locked up, my character will continue to move left after i lose control, and will continue until a minute or so later when i regain control.
im pretty sure it's a heat issue because it doesn't happen unless im playing some intense 3D games, and only happens when it's slightly warmer in my house.
since the game keeps playing on screen, I don't think it's the video card/ram or cpu. would this be a problem with the chipset north/south bridge? is that what controls the inputs?
i noticed that theres a heatsink on the north bridge but it's in a spot of relatively dead air. (little circulation)
