Trouble with hardware nvRAID

Asus a8n-deluxe
amd64 3500+
7900gtx
maxtor 120g hdd ****IDE****
Western Digital 200g hdd ****IDE****
1 gig ram yada yada dont matter

My floppy port on my mobo is all screwed so i cant have floppy raid disk drivers, thats another story
I used nlite, to integrate raid and IDE drivers (latest from NVIDIA) into my i386 folder on the windows xp install disk
I hook up both my hard drives to 2 different IDE channels both masters. Then I start up my comp and enable raid in BIOS. I go to NVRAID and i create a stripe array with a stripe size of 64k.Everything is fine here. My array is setup, I set it to boot. then i try windows installation. There is no need to press f6 for raid drivers cuz they are already intigretated. Hell I even see them getting installed so that aint the problem. When I get to the partition screen I dont see the array I just created I just see the two hard drives seperatley. What is the problem here?? Windows should have the NVRAID drivers and should be recognizing the array i created. Hell I even installed them on my current windows installation and the array doesnt even get recognized in My computer! what am i doing wrong? Is it something to do with bad drivers ? Or maybe the drivers dont support IDE hard drives? I have no clu please help!
 
I'm in the same situation with a K8E, 4G ddr pc3200 and 4 x 400G seagate sata drives.

I can create arrays in nvraid in the bios and windows sees them as 4 different drives *sighs*.

Please post here if you ge a solution to this.

I have heard of people with similar problems, I would suggest a search in the OS forum, since I do not remember the solution. this was more than 3 weeks ago.

Yes it was. When windows is loading drivers for everything I can watch it load the nvidia raid & ide driver, and then it tells me it finds 4 hard disks (even though in the raid bios I configured theh 4 disks as a raid 0+1). I'm ripping my hair out. I don't know why nvidia would release something so obviously broken.

I have the latest drivers from the nvidia website as well as the latest bios for the board.
