Hey guys,
Just making my first post here at HF, a member of neowin recommended me to these forum due to the better overclockers here and there overall expierence with it. Anyway off to some of my problems. I have sucessfuly gotten the FSB to 250 2.5ghz without touching any other settings I entered 250 into the FSB freq and my computer is already OCed to 2.5 ghz. I have watercooled my system and even at 2.5ghz the temps dont go over 33c on load. I've seen some people get to 32.7ghz or even 3.0 but I know that they messed with other settings than just the FSB ratio. All of my specs are in my signature and the ram I have is 2GB of CZ PC4000 El Platinum Edition. If you can specify what settings would need to be changed in order to get my system to boot at 3.0ghz. I don't know all of the technical settings needed to changed in order for it to boot. If you guys can specify the values as well that would be great. ANY help is appreciated!

It doesn't work that way. Variations in MOBOs, CPUs, GPUs,Memory and cooling make every system different. If it was that easy there wouldn't be any overclocking forums.

There is a relationship between FSB, multipliers, memory speed and dividers that you have to understand first. Download this program http://hardware.mcse.ms/archive26-2006-1-273657.html and play with it. It won't OC, but it will help you understand how OCing works.
Do not just change BIOS settings to what you think will give you the OC you want. You have to proceed in small steps and test inbetween. Read the stickies at a few OC forums...here's a good start http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=327.
