As long as you have a solid 54mbps wireless connection its extremely smooth.. I wouldnt really recommend fastforwarding/rewinding in wireless, i mean it still works fine, but does it more efficiently when plugged in... also Dlink recenetly released a HD version of this box, so if you are looking to purchase, get the HD version instead
