Too much for PCI bus?

I have a Quad core Intel Q6600 so I have enough processing power, but will:

2 analog pci tuner cards
1 pci 64bit Raid 5 card with a 10TB array on it (that is plugged into a 32bit PCI slot)
1 USB dual analog TV tuner

I can't find a 1x PCI express 6 port raid card...and my board does not have a 4x pci express

So will recording 3 shows at once, and moving huge files to the raid array be possible? Or will it make me want to pull the little hair I have left, out?

It's hard to say for sure. If the TV cards are sending raw uncompressed 480i video over the PCI bus, that's about 27MB/s (Assuming 24-bit accuracy). If you're using both tuners at-once, that's using about half the real bandwidth of the PCI bus.

But that's assuming no compression. If the tuners use lossless/lossy compression, you could knock-down the bandwidth used by 2-10x.

You do know you can hollow-out the end of the plastic connector on your PCIe 1x slot, and plug-in a 4x board, right? Assuming there's nothing on the mainboard obstructing the connector extending beyond it, you can use a PCIe 4x card in a PCIe 1x slot.
