Is it possible to just have too many USB devices?
I am having problems with seemingly random working of devices. And sometimes one will just quit when I put a new device in.
I have a self powered hub so I dont think it is a power issue. But I noticed a front USB card reader was not working and thought I did not plug it into the mobo, but I did.
Then I noticed my wireless mouse and keyboard would stop working i I plugged in an infrared sensor for a windows media center remote.
It seems I cannot keep all the things working.
Windows 7
i5 2500k on a micro atx motherboard from gigabyte
650 watt psu
Whats odd is I dont even have all the ports filled but I suppose I am close
self powered USB 3 hub near PS2 port connected to:
logitect unifying reciever
xbox 360 wireless controller receiver
2 xbox chargers
1 wired keyboard
1 wired mouse
infrared receiver from rosewill for windows media center, this thing often says there was some failure in connecting and it is the item that came into the system last so I have been messing with the most.
internal 3.5 inch card reader with 2 connections to the motherboard. Nothing was connected to this.
