Hey!

with my raid0 array i notice that my computer chops up often when the hard drives work. For example in games, whenever i hear the hard drives spinning up and just plain working, my frame rates drop to 0 for a short period of time. Hence when i say "hiccups" it means my whole system sorta just stops.

Is there a way to fix this?

Seagate 80gig x2 SATA raid0
ASUS A8N-E
WInxp 64

I'd suggest two things:

Cheap solution is look for an updated driver for your raid software (yes, its software raid).

If that doesnt work, I'd go for a hardware solution. With only 2 drives you shouldn't tear up the PCI bus too much.

Basically both possibilities in my mind would increase the efficiency of the CPU usage. One's free, one is slightly more expensive.
