too hot

I just recently got a mobile 2500+ w/ a thermaltake silent boost heat sink. When I get to decent o/c's (~2500 mhz) I get load temps of around 60*C and that's w/out enough voltage to be prime95 stable. What kind of case/heatsink mods can I do (or anything else that is inexpensive) to lower my temp's???

What motherboard are you running? Cause if you have an Abit they report temps 8-10 hotter then normal. So you might be fine as hollyberry.

you got a link to that hsf? i've never heard of it

but you could always add more fans, like a 80mm up to 120mm over the hs

i modded my case so i could have a single 120mm in the front, rather that 2 80mm that didn't move near as much air with higher noise

maybe a blowhole at the top (or even just a vent)

make sure you have a positive CFM flow (the fans CFM brining in air is higher than those pushing air out, rather than more exhaust CFM than intake) i believe this also helps lower dust? (i think that is what i read around here - sure helped me)

That's simple. That heat sink has a low CFM fan on it. The heat sink is nice, but the fan is too slow. I would just replace the fan with something like this.

53CFM. Standard fan size. 80x80x25, But I might recommend a fan controler.

84CFM. Same fan size as the SB 80x80x38, LOUD get a fan controler.

Or perhaps you could just deal with the normal VSF2 (Big orange fan) from thermaltake.
