Too hot?

I have an Antec Aria, and summer is here, and now CPU, chipset, and system temps are all around 46c. Right when the system boots up everything is around 38-40c, but then it rises quickly to the normal operating temp of 44-46c. On hot and humid days, the cpu hits 50c.

Its a x2 3800, onboard x300, no OC'ing. Is there any way to keep my system running a tad cooler without pumping water into it? I'm thinking of buying a Zalman 7000cu to help cool the cpu a bit.

When I ran an aria, I had to cut holes in the side panels and add 80 mm intake fans. You maw try adding a vent on the top of the aria to allow some of the heat to exhaust. Also replacing the PSU fan with a higher flow 120mm will help.

yea, if your case can handle it throw in a 120mm fan, and maybe replace the cpu fan, but to be honist those temps look ok.

I'll go ahead and replace the PSU's 120mm fan. I'm trying to keep it quiet and cool, and as stock as possible on the oustide. So what 120mm fan would be a good choice?I think im also gonna upgrade to one of those exhaust blowers that goes in your pci slot.

thats actually a good temp compared to my celeron d 2.8 @ 3.2 in my aria... in the summer it idles between 57-60 (the ambient tepms in my room are very warm), and that is with a 120 mm fan i added to the side panel

the only way to help your temps with out modding is to replace the psu fan as others have mentioned, but with the aria adding fans to the side panel is a major help...

80 mm fans are good, but 120 mm fans are better, and the 120's require you to modify the sides of your drive cage
