Tips on using Carbon Fiber

Hi, folks. I'm thinking of making a case for my new Macbook out of carbon fiber (no, not the fake vinyl sticker stuff, real CF).

Does anyone have and tips/guides/experience on working with the stuff? I've worked on fiberglass a little before, but don't want to screw up with such expensive material.

I've used some toys made of it & they broke off into slivers, so I couldn't see putting my Mac into it, but maybe it's more strong in a different form.
 
When done correctly Carbon Fiber is stronger than steel.

In the auto industry on super cars many have all carbon fiber parts and frames that are insanly strong and light weight.

I found some fabric that is just plain carbon fiber and some that is alternating kevlar/carbon fiber. What do you think would work/look better?
