Yesterday, I turned 18, and my friends went out and surprised me with the exact same monitor I have now (BenQ GL2760H) so what im saying is that I have 2 1080p monitors and im wondering if its time to upgrade to a second 770 or just ditch that idea all together and get a 980/970.

Or if anyone thinks it would be dumb to upgrade to a nicer GPU anyways because its not like im playing games on both monitors, feel free to let me know.

Thanks so much!

You will not need added GPU if you are still going to game with one monitor, with something else open on the second one.
I don't think dual 770 is a good choice, specially because of 2gb Vram on it. You can sell your 770 and upgrade to a 970 or 290/390 (amd) and that will surely be a wiser choice. (again, only if you game on both)

If one 770 is serving you fine, you needn't upgrade.

I think he meant for triple monitor/Surround configuration...

about the question, best choice it's just to sell your current card and buy for cheap AMD 290X. if you want to stick to nvidia my best will stay to a GTX 980 as minimum.

No he is not.....

Keep your 770 if you are happy with your current graphics quality. A second monitor will not require another gpu.

Save up the money for a third screen and pascal!

A third screen is definitely an idea that has crossed my mind.
I appreciate the input guys. I'll ponder on the idea of another BENQ monitor and if it seems appealing enough I'll grab a 980 first and then the 3rd monitor.

great choice..

If its 4gb version and you see a good deal on another one why not. If its the 2gb version then hell no. 770 overclocked is still a good powerhouse but the 2gb VRAM is already being bottlenecked by today games and holds it back.

If you plan to game on all monitors or plan to add another, get a 970/980 or up. If not the 770 will work just fine. I played games on 2x 1080 monitors on my 770 2gb plenty, even SLI'd them at one point.
