Time for a new case

I'm building a computer, and while I've gotten most of the hardware worked out, i havn't been able to locate a case that I like. Since this case is going to first sit in my room, then be shipped halfway around the world (Japan to US), and the sit in a college dormitory, I kind of want a sturdy case, something that could withstand a hall party (i don't intend to have anything crazy in my dorm room, but then, you never know.).

So for sturdy I was looking at:

Thing is, I'm big on looks too, and the first thing that caught my eye when I went to tigerdirect was this:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=720575&Tab=11&NoMapp=0

I havn't really looked yet, wishing to get some input on whether sturdy or looks would be better for this situation.

If you have suggestions, I need a case with 2 internal 3.5 bays, 2 external 3.5 bays, 4 external 5.25 drives, and a 400Watt power supply or better. My price range is up to 75$, and my number one preference is a black case, number two being a pure white or grey/silver case.

Also I should throw in that cooling is pretty important with this system, I need 2-3 fan ports, 4 if possible. I don't plan on having a water cooling system until sometime around the end of next year, but yeah.

Thanks

if your shipping from Japan to US, does that mean you're in Japan right now?... if so, does newegg ship there?, i recall something about US only and no canada shipping and i figure, that policy may also apply to places outside the US...

and also, ive heard of bad experience with tigerdirect altho i m not trying to say anything bad about it, just warning you in case of anything...

i would go with the first case... if you're looking for looks, i would go with the first case and then put lights and goodies inside to spice it up

If you want sturdy for under $75 with a good PSU try this Antec: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-129-122&depa=0

You say you want a 400watt PSU but a good 350watt is better than a no-name POS PSU. :D It only has 2 fan mounts but they are 120mm so that should be enough. It's a relatively quiet case, too, if that's a concern.

If you want some flash check this out: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=11-164-040&depa=1

It's only $26 so you can buy yourself a real PSU and a couple fans and still stay under $75. Plus, it has a handle so you could just carry it with you on the plane! :D

Good luck in your quest.

that second case is the ugliest thing ive seen all day. the first one wasnt bad. seriously, how can you go from a decent look to that? also the second one is from tiger direct. just dont.

in any case, if you want sturdy, get one with around 1mm thick steel. The first one, it doesnt say, just "steel", but from the pictures, it looks like itll be OK.

I cant comment on overseas shipping but from taking my computers 8 hours back and forth from college, and transporting my new lian li an hour each way to a LAN party, with a watercooling system in it, in the back seat, driving like the asshole I am, theyve all withstood it just fine. And yes I did have craziness going on in my room (always do :D) and theyre fine. I would be concerned with quality (as in it wont fall apart, not if it can take a bullet in shipping), price (those are cheap), and looks (weve been over this). I like my Lian Li more than life itself but its aluminum so it gets dented a little easier than steel. So my recommendation, is a thick steel case. Chieftecs are indestructable.

why does the first and second pic on that case look different?... different as in theres two different cases??????

Theres no problem with shipping outside of the US. I have an American address that sends it to me in Japan (something crazy, but I know the actual mailbox is in California).

Thanks for the input, those two cases look pretty good, and the suggestion about working on the case from newegg sounded good too.
