thumbs.db on network shares are ruining my life :)

Seriously though, I'm trying to organize a bunch of old project data on my headless server. So I'm deleting folders and archiving others for cold storage.

My archive will fail because 'thumbs.db is in use by another process'

Deleting folders will fail (until all the files are deleted in the folder, or delete the folder 2 or more times) because 'thumbs.db is in use....'

Is it impossible to have thumbnails and be able to manage files on a windows computer at the same time?

I've had the same problem - thanks for the link. Do I need to make that fix on my machine or on the network machine I'm connecting to?

I think it has to be executed on your machine, actually, run it on both, i see no harm on doing it this way.
