I'll be taking my first dive into watercooling (no pun intended) and just wanted to get an opinion on what I'm about to order. System specs are in my sig...

DD MC-TDX cpu block
DD Maze4 chipset block
Innovatek Eheim HPS 12v pump
Thermochil PA120.2 radiator
Primochill Primoflex Pro LRT 1/2" ID tubing
DD Fill Port
DD Delrin T fitting & Delrin elbows as needed
DD Perfect Seal G1/4 1/2" ID barb fittings
Silenx IXP-74-14 IXTREMA PRO fan's x2 for the rad

Going to be a simple, single loop with a T-line, no res. All 1/2 barb fittings. Distilled water. No GPU block as the Zalman on there now does a fantastic job and my case will have decent airflow with a side and front fans input, rear and PSU fans sucking out.

Thoughts? Anything I should change or should I be considering some other components?
 
Pretty unorthodox loop there my friend...

First, the Dtek Fuzion is probably a better block, if for no other reason than acrylic topped blocks being a death sentence. Tighten a bit too hard, and they'll snap, as mine did.

Don't get Silenx fans... Get Yate loon fans.

I'd personally go for an MCP655 pump over your choice...

Everything else looks good. I'd get some tincture of iodine at a pharmacy, and add 3-4 drops to your loop.
 
It was a toss up between the MC-TDX and the Fuzion. I feel you're right though about the acrylic top.

Looked at Yate Loon's...they are cheaper in price....although I do have 2 sunon 120's sitting here unused. Fans are cheap enough and I can experiment with them as time goes on though.

What would make you pick the MCP655 over the Eheim? Price, performance, reliability or all three?

I guess my last questions is, what is unorthodox about the loop? Seems pretty standard to me, from what I've read in guides and seen in other peoples systems.

Sorry if I'm being anal, I just like to have all my ducks in a row before I plunk down a few hundred dollars on something like this.
 
The unorthodoxness comes from the choice of pump, blocks, rad and fans haha.

Usually, people go for a Dtek Fuzion, an MCW30 (chipset), an MCR series radiator and a MCP655 or 355.

Not saying your loop isn't a good choice, just saying it was quite different than the norm.

However, those fans suck through and through, I'd undervolt your sunons, or get yates.

I just like the MCP655 because it's roughly 2-3x more powerful than the eheim, with all the same reliability.
 
I don't WC, but I third the Yates. Mine are amazingly quite and I have the high speed ones :D
 
Make sure you only get the Yate Loons from Petra's Tech. I have several from other stores they suck compared to PT's. Not gonna go into detail but its well documented all over the net. Also, ditch that pump and get a swiftech or DD laing.
