Right now I'm in the process of selling extra stuff I have lying around to fund a watercooling system, and I just wanted to make sure my planned system looks good for what's in my sig:

All from DangerDen:
(All 1/2 inch OD)

Maze4 CPU block with Lucite top
Brass Fittings
Double heatercore
Sunon 120 mm fan
Enheim 1250 for 1/2 inch
7 feet clear flex tubing
Tube of AS5 (might drop out to save some cash, just use my 3)
4 oz Zerex
10 hose clamps + Y + T fittings

Two questions. One, will it work well :) Two, does the T fitting come with all the parts I need to fill on the T, instead of a res?

Thanks for any help!

This was the other one I was looking at, it doesnt have a fan but I can use a crappy 120 Panaflo I have lying around until I can get a good one (I wish DD sold the fans not in kits)

Ah yes another question

With the OC system in my rig (pushed even higher, as high as I can get it!) will I be OK with the L20 (saves a lot of money) which pushes 185GPH (700 l/h), or should I really go for the Enheim?

get Tygon tubing - it has thicker walls and thus is much harder to kink, and looks much better.

If you plan on keeping the pump in your case, go with the Hydor L30, It is smaller than any Eheim, and has a very decent flow rate. If you want to have a NB WB or GPU WB then the L30 should have enough umph to handle it, if you get the l20, you might need to replace it for any additional WB's. If you don't plan on having any more WB than the one on the CPU, the L20 isn't bad. I've also read really good things on swiftech's new pump. A bit more expensive, but seems to be the most powerful one out there right now.

second that about the pumps, although Im unsure about the swifty. I got great temps with a maze4/l20/heatercore, but no way would I have run another block on there. do yourself a favor, and get the 120, or the l30 if you want to save space, and leave a little leeway for upgrades... you never know when you will want/need to install a chipset GPU block. :)

im hammering out a deal for an L30 with someone, so thats taken care of. no NB or GPU blocks, probabily never since I dont feel they need it. I just want to have that power behind it anyway.

since I just have a single CPU block, would I be OK with an L20? I really want a warrenty (so having to hack off the power connector on the L30 is a bad option) and I want to be absolutly safe with this setup (IE no pump failures).

If you want to be absolutely safe, you don't watercool. :p

There is no guarantee of safety at all from any of the items you have purchased. They are inherently "scary" :D:p

Joking aside, I'd never trust anything other than an Eheim to any system. My personal pump (Eheim 1250) has been running for over a year now constantly, no cavitation, no noise, no nothing since I filled it.

Tygon all the way for tubing. Anything else is overpriced shit. I'd rather pay for the overpriced Gold which is Tygon.

People say "$2.00 a foot?!?! Holy shit, that's expensive!" -- I say "You skimped out." Clearflex can suck my nuts.

does the tubing really matter? i mean its going to be (eventually) sitting in a PC60, I dont plan to upgrade for a long while, and when I do who knows what I'll replace in the cooling system.

God you are stupid. Thanks for reminding me why I rarely come here other than for laughs.

1. There are many pumps other than eheims that last well. Obviously, you haven't had any experience with them. I have been running my Danner for over a year now, and it has been just as reliable as your eheim. Other brands like Iwaki, swiftech and rainbow lifeguard work well too.

2. Tygon is good stuff, but it isn't the only tubing out there. If you're paying $2.00 a foot for clearflex you're a dumbass. Mcmaster sells it for .65 cents a foot under the name of "Chemical PVC Tubing". I have had no problems at all with it in my setup.

Tygon and Clearflex are both brands of tubing, not specifications. You can buy 1/2" ID tygon with 1/16" walls just as easily as you can buy clearflex with 1/16" walls. For either, you should go with 1/8" walls.

The main advantage to tygon is generally a slightly smaller bend radius. It doesn't "look" better.
