This PSU ok?

No 600Watts is not much, but it could be ok for you if you are running SLI or something that needs that 600Watts... and i dont know that brand so i would say no not a good PSU..

Go with a PC power and cooling or Antec or OCZ... stay with the big names they work the best and have good warranties

unkown, but offhand Id say its junk
and old junk at that, with all of 24A on the +12V rail in that wattage class its an old school ATX12V v1.3 supply, not even a hybrid
likely its also rated at 25C and thus drop 1\3rd of those amps for your likely operating temperature

of course what your trying to power has everything to do with what you need :p

JUNK. never ever ever ever ever buy a non name brand psu.
think the money that you save on that will all be lost when it blows taking your compnents with it.

the approves list of psu are
PCP&C
OCZ
ANTEC
ULTRA
COOLERMASTER
ENERMAX
TAGAN
THERMALTAKE
ZALMAN

anything else may work fine, but do you really want to risk it?

my short list of acceptable psu brands

pcp&c, ocz, zippy, and enermax ain't all too bad either sometimes ;)

Yes get Ultra off that list indeed, just as bad as MGE.

Edit: (Only buy these brands :D)

Antec <-- 2nd best for this price range.
PCP&C
Fortron <-- Probably your best bet for this price range.
Zippy
OCZ

Small but sweet list.

LOL

you know boys and girls
there are alot of Deer, Powmax ect junk supplies out there humming merrily along
because the load on them falls squarely on thier "can do" crossload profile
of course when asked to do something outside that,
or deal with an AC power event they do tend to take expensive components with them :p

so, the load on a given supply has alot more to do with its sutuibility than its brand name
a good company more than anything else is simply not trying to blow as much smoke up your ass as say the less reputable makers :p

once again
whats it supposed to be powering?
You running a P3 or old Tbird its likely a pisscutter choice

(and Id agree that Youngyear Electronics AKA the manufacturer for Ultra X Connects, shouldnt be on that short list)

Yeah, but there are just as many Deer and Powmax psus that have completely devestated a computer because the person wanted to save a few bucks.

and didnt have the first clue they where overloading the supply more often as not

buying onto the bullshit specs is one thing
willfilly ignoring the problem once you're aware is another :p
I have little sympathy for the later

they do fail without being overloaded
but the marketing hype that surrounds them is a negative feedback loop as well
less people would overload them with less exaggerated specs

Speaking of Deer I had one explode on me a couple of weeks ago. Scared the crap out of me. Fortunately didn't take anything with it but it smelled like burnt popcorn and there's now a loose capacitor inside. It's in the garbage and got replaced by a nice Antec. It was only running a K6III-450. Came with the case nearly 6 years ago and I didn't know better.

http://www.xbitlabs.com/misc/picture/?src=/images/video/ati-vs-nv-power/6800gt_table-b.gif&1=1

theoretical maximum
http://takaman.jp/D/?M=PcbAJQbdXhSCgHGT4kG5@TDhH7qG5HRYcZAZavXCMZ&english
(LAN is 5 x 80mm fans, one optical)

+3.3V @ 4.5A
+5V @ 12.4A
+12V @ 23.1A
360W

realworld worse case senerio CPU\GPU 100% + optical spinup
+12V @ 17.6A
295W

so in a cheap ass supply that is rated at 25C youd need a minimum of 28A +12V to meet the 18A load once the supply has been derated for temperature
as mentioned the Fortron 530 is a conservatively rated supply (something higher than 25C)
and would be a good fit
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-968&depa=1
a proven workhorse of basic compliance at $78 well worth the little bit extra

a step up to a supply that exceeds spec (and that us actually rated at 40C) would be the OCZ Powerstreams, with 3% load regulation,
the have a 20+4 pin main connector and might be relevent for your next upgrade

the 420W (easily a 600W for comparision to that MGE) has more amps where you need ut as well 30A rated at 40C ;)
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-150&depa=1
runs $101 plenty of room for upgrades

of course for a supply to be relevant for the next box...
PCI-E is a very power hungry spec, and in the next gen with say SLi plus components
youd be able to blow out the topend of most supplies out there

I'll shorten that list too:

PC Power & Cooling.
Antec
Fortron.
