Well my 980X has served me well but I think it is time to upgrade. Thinking of the following upgrade.

Asus Z170 Deluxe

Intel I7-6700 K

Hyper X Predator M.2 480 gig.

G.Skill Ripjaws 32 gig ddr4 3000

Will wait on video card.

Any comments welcomed.

Get an Intel SSD. I personally have never been a fan of Kingston. IMO, Intel is making some of the best SSDs on the market. Either that or Samsung.

Yes was just reading the Intel 750 NVMe Kyle did and that looks interesting. Will look into the Intel SSD's. Thanks.

I looked at that post and will be gaming and photoshop. I overclock and use 2560x1600 resolution. Not going to upgrade video cards yet. Budget is not major concern. Have been building computers since 1997 and have not done much in last 3yrs. so I'm just interested in upgrading my system to the newest technology. Just not sure which SSD I want to try. Seems this Asus Z170 motherboard will support the latest. Thanks

Well if budget isn't a problem then I suggest this build.

Intel Core i7-5960X Haswell-E 8-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 2011-v3
GIGABYTE GA-X99-GAMING G1 WIFI LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2133
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 2 TB SATA III 3-D Vertical Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-75E2T0B/AM

Total shipped:
$2,326.73

Well it will be $50 more than that total if you order at 10/3 or you don't use promo code AFSAMSSD928E to get $50 off the SSD. It's $50 and a simply copy paste, use it if you so wish.
