thin SB passive heatsinks?

I'm looking for a thin passive heatsink to fit over my southbridge of the Asus P4P800-Deluxe MB. I have some MicroCool, but they are too thick. I know the Vantec Iceberg Copper cooler came with two passive heatsinks and one would fit perfect over my SB.

I may just have to order another one of those. Anyone know where I can get just the passive heatsink like those or equivalent?

I can't find anyone in the USA who carries this little Alpha sink. It fits perfectly on the nF2 Southbridge, and is light enough to be held on by Ceramique... Dunno about P4 applications though.

It has to fit under a VGA Silencer. I'll probably just order another Vantec Iceberg tonight, unless someone has any better ideas.

i have some green small HSF from the chipset cooling set you get at compusa for like $10..its actually not bad, you get a crapload of striplike heatsinks

Just a suggestion- you'd get better air flow by natural convection if you rotated that heatsink 90 degrees so the fins were oriented vertically. Theoretically it would cool better, but by how much is dependent on many things and not really predictable...

because a normal card wouldnt fit on then, nevermind having a heatpipe or some such cooler

I thought about that... but put it the way it is because I have two intake fans blowing cold air over the fins. If I rotate it 90°, most of the fins will be blocked.

That works, in that case natural convection isn't really an issue.

I am using one of the ones that came with my Vantec Iceberq cooler. Works great and looks good.

The card slides in through the slot the attachment bar used to go through. The heatsink is from a P1.

this one would take some lapping and maybe a little trimming but height would not be an issue:

cheap as hell too

2 of these side by side:

also dirt cheap

with some dremel powered trimming:

once again, very inexpensive

possible active cooling option:

more passive alpha sinks:

nice assortment of alpha fin sinks:

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I just ordered another Vantec Copper cooler last night and I'll use the smaller heatsink from that package.
