These temps reasonable?

Based on what little research I've done, I'm thinking somethings wrong. I'm running a q9450 on a 780i mobo, with an H50 cooler. I was getting mid 40s idle and mid 50s at 100% load when I was at the stock 2.66ghz. I've intended to try OCing for the first time since I got this setup 6 months ago, and I just finally got around to it. Now with some voltage boosts... 1.36250 core, 1.4v fsb giving me 3.2ghz ... I'm getting mid 50s idle and hit 70 on all cores after 3 minutes of the intel burn test (though still stable).

I only have 1 fan on the radiator currently, pulling air in through the back of the case, which is about 3 inches from the wall, if that makes a difference. I've got a Thermaltake armor case which I've added an extra exhaust fan to on the removable door. I've reseated the H50 multiple times in the past because I have no faith in my thermal paste application, which had lowered it by a couple degrees. I think I've got the right idea about thermal paste application, just not a very steady hand when trying to tighten down the H50 while not sliding it around/keeping pressure.

In short, are my temps reasonable because they seem a bit high to me.
 
Thanks. If I try and push it to 3.4, which was my upper end goal, should i just try and keep the core temps under 80?
 
guys have hit way more than that and had zero issues... iirc on my q9550 @ 4.25GHz it would max out at 80something on LinX load... no issues
 
They are getting on the high end. You should be fine if you keep your voltage under 1.4 though as these chips deal with heat fairly well. If you take your voltage to 1.4 or above with temperatures that high ,be prepared for drastically reduced chip life. (which could mean from 30 years to 5 or from 20 to 2, these chips are pretty tough but with high voltage and temp they will fail)
