Anyone heard much about this? I just found a review on it over at OCC.

looks like a monster - but may be a great solution for those looking for silent external kits that provide performance... not to mention it also has some great potential for modding.

:D Ah haha :D

That is huge. And 5 exterior mounted 120mm fans isn't exactly quiet.

why not? 5 120mm fans means that you can use 5 REALLY quiet fans, say some of the less than 10dB Acoustifans? linky

5 fans at less than 10dB would be quite quiet, and you dont even have to use 5 fans....but the option is there if you want it.

Hmm, 5 of those Acoustifans = $180 and the whole Symphony kit is $280, including fans (but we all know how accurate TT rates their fans :p)
I wouldn't exactly call the Symphony a "high performance", even on a Preshot $8*C isn't something to celebrate, especially with 5 fans and that big of a tower. Interesting design though, maybe a possibility for a htpc, if you have room for the nearly 4' tall behemoth.

If you read TT's product specifications, at least they're starting to at least try for higher flow rates, with two pumps rated for 1/4gpm with no head . At least TT is using quick disconnects, probably not high flow I would guess. What I'm really worried about is their waterblock mounting system: just tighten down the nuts straight onto the block, forget springs!

Well I am sure you dont even need to use the acoustifans. You really dont need to have the fans moving very fast at all to provide excellent cooling. If you have read through some of the development of the PA160 over on the procooling forums you would have seen that they came to a couple of conclusions about what makes a radiator most effective. They found that the depth of the radiator, and the speed of the air moving through it are both second to the front surface area of the radiator. With 5x120mm of radiator surface that is a lot of cooling potential, which is the real reason why the thing can perform so quiet while maintaining high cooling.

I really like the look of the tower and think it would fit in very well with most newer home entertainment setups. The look is not the traditional Tt "more bling = better" philosophy. The rest of the kit aside, I really like the radiator tower and the cooling possibilities with having 5 fans on a rheobus. Crank those babies up for an OCing run, then put 'em back into silent mode for normal operation.
