Thermaltake case question

Finally got my two opteron processors and I was able to start/finish my first build. That said I have a bit of a problem with the Power Switch LED wire set up. I am assuming this is a case issue and not a mobo issue.The motherboard gives me the following pin layout

1 2 <1,3>HD LED- , <2,4>--POWER LED
3 4 <3,5>-RESET SW, <6,8>-POWER SW
5 6 <9,11,13,15>--NOT USED
7 8 <10>-NO CONNECTION, <12-18> NOT USED
9 X
11 12
13 14
15 16
17 18

Now the problem is, is that I have a *THREE* pin male end on the cable for the cases Power LED (The rest of the cables are 2 pin) but it only has TWO wires going into the end(the 1 and 3rd pins). I could understand it if this cable was to sit on <8,X,12> but this is not the case. Anyone know what is going on?

Okay, I'm not following 100% with the description you gave, but I think I've got the gist of your problem:

your power led has a 3-pin connector, with the wires going to the first & third pin placements, and you need them to be side by side (either 1&2, or 2&3). That sound right?

If that's what the problem is, the solution is pretty simple. If you look at where the pin connectors are, in the plastic plug, you'll see where there's a little prong on the connector that holds it into the plug. That's what keeps you from accidentally pulling the connector (the metal piece that makes contact with the pins on your mobo) out of the plug.

All you have to do is depress that little prong (carefully!! they can break off!!! :eek: ), pull the connector out of the plug, then slip it into the other hole in the plug. You might want to check the prong on the connector while you've got it out, since depressing it can cause it to not spring back out (they are pretty fragile). As far as what to use to depress the prong, a paperclip or the tip of an exacto knife works well.

LOLOL i wish my thermaltake hate thread still existed. Those cases are so confusing to put together, it's crazy.

I feel bad for you getting one :D
 
sucks your having so much trouble, I was looking at getting the Tsunami...which one are you having all this fun with?
