Hey all, i know this thing is old as hell but I'm still rocking a Thermalright XP 90 on a phenom ii x2 555

Do you guys think this is at least good as the stock cooling would be? I've had it unused in the box, just wondering if i should switch over.

Trying to avoid going out and buying new cooling so if the stock cooling is better I'll go with that.

Temps don't ever really seem to get out of hand

oh i've used one of those XP90 with an old Socket 478 P4.. great cooler.. and certainly much better than any stock cooler just be sure to use a high quality 92mm fan and you will be good..

Good thread!

We sure won't be seeing posts in 2025 for 11 year old CLCs still in use. :D

ha ha i mean i figured I could use the stock cooling or get something else, but if what I have is at least as good or better than stock whats the point?

Lol, hell of a question. Should be fine, if not strap a delta fan to it and will also fly.

I had a few of those coolers, pretty sweet for the time. Think I remember thermal expoxing one to a video card at one point.

Still have one. Think I may make a hood ornament out of it.
